This is a Dondo-yaki. Dondo-yaki is an event burning the New Year ornaments to see off the New Year's god. With Dondo-yaki, children bake a rice case with a stick. We call it Mayu-dama. Let's bake Mayu-dama. It's amazing! Oops! What's that, Ling? What? Is it funny? This is a just Kagami-mochi! How big!  Kagami-mochi is one of the ornaments of the New Year. Ling and I are playing a Zoom meeting because dad went to his office today.
